Description From the mythology of the Kwagiutl tribe (British Columbia), this cannibal bird is said to peck out the brains of it's victims. This is one of the creatures represented in the Hamasta Dance.

This is my attempt at showing what it might look like if it were placed in a SMT RPG. It's only depiction is a mask, but by the look of the beak I thought it would be like a heron. The mane is supposed to look like cedar bark, and I thought it would be moving it's head to and fro, sorta like the Barong's idle animation.

Penned and inked by hand, colored via Pixia.

A great piece. I love your style, and I remember hearing about a famous Canadian Inuit artist that does stunning work.

Definitely different from what I usually see around here and it's darn refreshing. ^..^
The creature is portioned in a very interesting way, with the small wings and long thick legs, quite the different perspective.

Fantastic color choices, minimalistic and it works!
Bravo I say. Bravo.

Yeah, it is. As soon as I get around to it, I'm doing Crooked Beak next.

yea there's that one you spelt out but there is another one about the same but I think it's got some q's and stuff in it... it's cool you're into that stuff! My mum really likes native art and flipped when I told her about the pic.
