One of the oldest designs on the KIDF's fleet roster, the 'Artemis is aptly named. With a powerful sensor array that occupies nearly the majority of the craft's volume, it is a hunter and ranger; an exceptional patrol and intelligence-gathering platform. It thus serves as the eyes and ears of the deployed fleet or as a lone stalker. In turn, this means that these crews often have the most combat experience although as a caveat this is often against pirates, slavers, and similar foes.

Similarly, the name was suggested by the design - visually, the class takes on the appearance of a bow with a pair of vertical limbs with an extended drive section between them. Similarly, the ship's launchers - mounted inside of the two forward flat prongs - suggest the means by which the archer would launch their arrows. In fact this is often a favored method of the stalker; utilizing the ship's exceptional sensors, the crew finds their target and approaches unawares before launching a long-range, precision attack against an unaware foe...
