Also, yes, Zack without his big ass inhabitor ring, looks different. This is because his electric powers are very powerful, very similar to their ancestor who also had electric markings covering himself. However it makes Zack ill and unable to control his powers, so he has a ring on his wrist to contain the madness. Zack only takes the ring off when he washes himself but needs to focus intensely so he doesn't damage his house or himself.
Those markings are the reason Dracula actually made the deal with the devil : > - his family were living short lives due to the overflowing and chaotic power within them and Drac didn't want that for himself or his future family so he made a deal with the devil, but Satan being a dick gave him a price for this new found immortality and resistance.
Now in modern days, the markings and powers dulled down due to the vampire side subsiding them. Zack is the first in 5 generations to have those markings again.
