I like the change to the chest logo. More spiky and threatening.
The tentacle mouths are something I associate more with carnage though.

i like the church idea for a backgroubnd but what about having him standing on a pile of defeated "bad guys"? not exactly standing, but crouching on them like you already have him, because that could work as jumping or crouching. the bad guys could be a collection of bums and crooks that venom has aquired in the last day or so and they could be in a sewer. not one of those tunnels though, like on a concrete part and then maybe some tunnels shown in the distance.
