You know man, I'm all for things like violence and nudity in movies if it makes sense as to why they are there, as opposed to just throwing a sex scene in a movie for the hell of it, but this kinda stuff just seems really exploitative. Its like we've reached a point where doors creaking opens and shadows aren't enough, we need this shit to scare us (no pun intended)

I don't think this is meant to be scary, though. This movie is all about the shock value and the sickening of people, not scaring them. It gets labeled as a horror movie, but really you could view this is an experiment. How far can you go in a movie? Will people watch how a mad surgeon put together a human centipede? What are the limits of a person's imagination when it comes to gruesome images?

Yea you're right its just shock value, shock value can be very useful, but it needs to serve a purpose and not exist for its own sake.

Saw this movie yesterday, it's definitely out there, and quite sick. The acting is quite terrible, but the director did a good job with creating a clostrophobic feeling. I acutally sort of recommend this movie, but I warn you that it's really sick, and here's a footnote don't see it with any parents or relatives in the house.

Have you seen Visitor Q by Tahashi Miike? That was the sickest movie I have ever seen and I would like to know if Centipede is worse or not.

No I haven't seen it, but I'll put it on my movie list. I just read the summary of Visitor Q, and it seems a lot sicker. But I still think you should see H. Centipede, firstly because there's talk about it becoming a cult fill and second since there's coming a sequal which is supposed to be a lot sicker.

No, I def. don't recommend it. Apart from being seriously sick and disturbing, there's really not much of a story, so you just find yourself watching all kinds of perverted scenes. (On the other hand if one is interested in exploitation cinema and borderline snuff, then Visitor is surely worth adding to the collection.)

This is great. even if they are only drawings, we see enough to understand what we will see in the movie.

OMG.. I saw the long 5 min trailer for this a month ago and I could not get it out of my head it was so disturbing.
This is just so wrong.
