This picture has a really good impact to which the color scheme contribute a lot. The thumbnail caught my eye right away.
The composition is good and as a photograph the hard lighting plays a role conveying the message. However, I wished the camera used had a higher pixel res. to avoid the noise on the hand.
I really like the idea of using a labyrinth, it's very original, yet, maybe showing the center/end of it and assigning it a conceptional role would make the message stronger. I like how you manipulated the colors and smoke to create the fence, maybe if you placed that center behind the fence. And probably showing that the smoke is coming out of the cigarette would make the message clearer.
