Description for JJ

This is the setup of a fun shoot I had with to very professional and well known models for a picture I wanted to use for a wedding present. The (RL) bride wanted to know how I did the photo - so here is "The Official Making Of..." of the wedding present!

I staged the whole scene on the only table large enough in my flat to accomodate it properly, that is my living room dinner table. First of all I had to decide what background to use. Making some pictures using the white default wallpaper of my walls looked cheap, so I bought some white cardboard the other day to pull up a professional background. I attached it to a nail that luckily had already been there. From the same nail I drew a string to the window handle on the other side on the room for later fixing Barbie's "ropes" there. (Fixing them on the swinging lamps had proofed to be much too wobbly.)
After that I spent approx. one hour doing the chest bondage. I swear it's some proper work I did there, not some fake "just wrap it around somewhere" bondage!
Fixing the hands and attaching the line to the one going through the room proofed the most difficult, since this Barbie has one pretty immobile right arm since it accomodates some odd small power line to provide some juice for a blinking wedding ring (no joke!). So I had to use some force which luckily Barbie didn't mind at all!
I used some cut leather laces for making a whip for Ken which I fixed to his hand with some transparent stick tape.
Finally I had to fiddle around with the sparse light I had available (since I lack any proper studio lights).

Well, and that was that!
