Description
Ok, so a while ago, I had this idea that DC and MARVEL never had a crossover videogame. It worked with Mortal Combat, so why not just change the other side? But instead of having a versus, I figured a game in which the two factions already coexist would be more interesting (and, quite frankly, would put to rest the argument over which is better)The story is this: The two continuities were both formed in the same universe and have coexisted (considerably) peacefully for years. The current date is the year 2030; and things aren't looking good. Highly influential (evil) characters have ultimately turned the united governments against the superhero world at large. Laws were passed ordering both hero and villain alike to abandon their alter egos, the heroes especially; and naturally there was great resistance, and eventually War, war for the heroes' rights to do what they'd always done. In the end, there was almost no one left, some villains had found their way to points of higher power, where they hid, while the remainders of the heroes went into hiding.
Spider-Man, however, had devised a way to re-ignite the heroes' social strengths and take down the villains at large. Unfortunately; his plan was discovered by the wrong people. By the time Superman found him; Spidey was already passing, managing only to tell Supes (as well as Hulk, Dark Claw, and Blue Beetle#3, who were also present) of his plan.
Now its up to them; the last of Modern Age's Greatest to lead a new era of Superheroes to protect the people and defeat the evil!
Spidey's plan was to form a new Justice League/Avengers team (ironically, in this universe, he actually was a JLA member) from the offspring and proteges of of heroes and villains, and then beat out the villains from higher up and restore their role in society (the anti-superhero law has military ready to kill any and all superheroes)
Spider-Lad: The last surviving child of Peter and Mary Jane Parker, he must learn to move on after the last of his family (his father) is gone
Carrie Kelly/Robin: A lifelong fan of Batman and admirer of the Robins, she decided Dark Claw needed a sidekick to continue the legacy (much to Logan's irritation)
Irene DeAnto/Robin#2: Daughter of Vibe and Shadowcat, she somehow lacks either her late parents' powers and so takes on the identity of the powerless sidekick to do honor to her heritage
And finally,
The Green Mandarin: Illegitimate son of the Mandarin and mind-enslaved Green Lantern, Arisia Rrab. Both parents were killed and attacks even went against the GLCorps. Using ten rings (five were taken from Lanterns the original mandarin murdered) this new guy uses both mystic forces and raw power to protect his planet. He is one of the few heroes to act freely because his power is so great.
