Description
A downside to not having every piece from early decades is that some functions of original sets get completely lost in the rebuild. You might recall on occasion seeing what looks like a chainsaw blade attached to a ball joint on some mocs; well, it turns out that that was actually used for a unique kind of gear function for the Granite and Energy Slizers, where you pull the head in and out, and that that makes things on the sides move. Here, its supposed to make the pickaxes swing back and forth. However, since that function is no longer there, the pickaxes are more just accessories than functional pieces. They can still move, but there’s no longer a function in the build to make it so.
Listed as another baddie, the Granite Slizer has a more animalistic nature, walking on all fours to scale the rocky terrains of the desert-like Rockscape. I have to wonder if his backstory is similar to that of the Vorox, from Bara Magna; that he used to be normal, but over time, an animalistic side took hold of his processor, and now he prowls the Rockscape with silent and scary efficiency, throwing his back-mounted disks from afar, like a sniper, while perched atop a high vantage point, where no one thinks to look… until its too late
