how very... protective. warm. and safe. and somehow solitary. I can't get rid of the feeling that there are spikes on the inside as well... hundreds of little 'pins' like a bed of nails. it's probably because writing (poetry) as such is a painful process for me.

your ideas amaze me.
i wonder if you think them through first? or do you find a
starting point and let things go where they may.
sometimes it's that way with me,...and if i'm lucky i don't
screw it up.
this is remarkable.

Beautifully done, I like your palette a lot, it's rich and the warm tones are very appropriately balanced. This makes for a very beautiful cover -- bravo!

Good flow. The shadows and colors works well, water color do have that specialty to blend.

I don't know why but I keep looking at it. If it's a poetry book that's being published .. I'd def. take it into my hands and have a peak if it has this cover on it.
Good job on the painting of the shell and the background too.

Very very beautiful. I love the background textures a lot as the shell shape. Great colors, really earthy, soft and strong at the same time. I really like the framing also, the way the shell's edges reflect on it. Simply perfect.
