Description
OC of mine, was kind of intended for use in a sort of HH/HB-type universe/storyline where Mok goes to Hell, but ends up getting a promotion from Satan and becoming a demon. Mok turns out to be a very successful and prolific demon that ends up endangering the natural order of Hell, aiming to claim the throne for himself, and Mastemah serves as a Watcher to prevent him from doing so.

Mastemah is a Watcher, who is assigned to watch over the behavior and actions of Mok in Hell. Mastemah themself does not work directly for God, but rather exists in a kind of spiritually gray area between Heaven and Hell, serving the wants and needs of a mysterious entity of the cosmos beyond God's domain. Watchers are not exactly angels, nor are they demons - but rather a third, esoteric sort of thing. Watchers once were Angels and have since fallen, however not as far down to be considered a demon. They are rebellious and independent, though Mastemah seems to follow a specific set of laws and morals that encourage and motivate them to act as a sort of justiciar.

Demon Mok fears no one except Mastemah, as Mastemah knows all of his weaknesses and is capable of replicating the same methods and tactics that Mok does in order to break him and weaken his influence. Mastemah does not aim to kill Mok, but instead aims to keep him docile and content with the position he is at now without allowing him to encroach on the territory of higher demons, such as Ba'al, Satan, and Lucifer.
