Mudkip is a 4chan meme that was used by DA on April 1st to pull a prank on their users, but there was so much complaining that they switched it back before the day was done.

It all started as an Encyclopedia Dramatica joke that originated from a modern phrases dictionary (can't remember the name of the site, but it tells the origin of the phrase "So I heard u liek Mudkips?". It's damn scary story D: ).

I think it has to do with a recent incident on DA, on which a mudkip icon was displayed as everybodie's avatars. I still don't know what happend, but if you notice, all those people have the same icon.
