Fangirls can think of it as "Oh, together they make a whole. They complete/complement each other!"
Others can see it as "Yeah. They are a lot alike and yet really opposite."
The outfits are their latest forms. I had considered doing Ishida in his "Ultimate Quincy Form", but then that could cause a bit of trouble on the Yin Yang concept.
I usually would go into long detail about how all of this came about and a ton of symbolism sprinkled in, but I'll just rant instead.
I am either never going to draw Ichigo ever again, or it is highly unlikely. Why? I suck and drawing spiked hair. His turned out pretty okay in this, but that was after many redos. For the most part, I also drew them out of my style and more in the anime style. I considered that a royal pain as well.
