Ember is a resurrected poltergeist that used to haunt the silvercrest mansion. He was a nobleman in the late 1800s who fell in love with one of the maids named Meredith. They made a plan to run away together but the night before the day they planned to leave Meredith was killed by one of Embers family members. Ever since Ember vowed to avenge his love and when he died he didn't go to the afterlife instead he haunted the mansion where she was murdered. Once resurrected he started to crush on Nora because of her resemblance to his beloved Meredith. He will often refer to Nora as Meredith or the nicknames he had for her. Ember is very temperamental and emotional and then add his powers into the mix and a lot of things get burnt.
