This is Cortex The Cat my Sonic Sona! I love him deeply.
He exists sometime in the future in an AU after the events of Sonic Adventure 2 took a turn for the worst. Eggman figured out how to create clones of himself that could harness the power of the chaos emeralds using the technology his grandfather had developed to create Shadow. This future is bleak. Earth has been entirely taken over and roboticisized. All of the old heroes who once existed were unable to escape and get back home to Mobius. (This is assuming Mobius was a different planet than Earth and not just a future Earth). The now immortal Eggman has returned to Mobius after concurring Earth and exploiting its resources. Mobius had been prepared in the past but became too comfortable after nearly 50 years of Eggman's absence. Most major cities have been taken over by Eggman and now a new resistance is formed to fight against and one day stop Eggmans tyranny.
Cortex helps Eggman to keep himself alive after his family is robotisized and ends up with a cool mind control device to boost his telekinetic powers and fight the resistance!
What could go wrong?
