Description The plains of Autrus were heavily impacted by the Goldfeathers. Due to a need to expand their farmlands, as well as being prone to superstition, the Goldfeathers have driven many creatures to extinction. Due to their belief that the Sun wouldn't allow entire species to be wiped out, the Goldfeathers take no heed to how their activities affect the environment as a whole.

Branch-Grab (Large Megaraptoran at center): During the Golden Empire, the lands that bordered Autrus with Engannor and Asesionn were covered in forests. Among the many species that lived in the forests were large megaraptorans with the ability to grab branches and rocks to use as weapons. These Branch-Grabs (Dexterumosaurus silvaphilis). Because of their large size and their unique choice in weaponry, they were popular in the various arenas throughout Autrus. Though their numbers dwindled rapidly due to such high demand, what ended up finishing them off was the advent of the Light Renaissance after the fall of the Golden Empire. Due to the belief that forests were the major hiding place of all things evil, the border forests were heavily harvested which destroyed the Branch-Grabs' habitat. In an effort to protect the jungles of Asesionn, a few Orchidmaw scholars attempted to teach the Branch-Grabs how to cast basic magic. Unfortunately, even though they were able to learn how to cast arcane and lightning bolts, these solitary predators ended up turning on their mentors and used their newfound abilities on Orchidmaw and Goldfeather alike. In the end, it was too little too late as the Branch-Grabs were too few and far between to breed, thus dying out shortly after the fall of the Golden Empire.

Large Cave Lizard (lizard at bottom left): During the height of the Golden Empire, Saint Pardic demonstrated his holy power by driving all lizards, snakes, and rhynchocephalians out of Autrus. Unbeknownst to him and the rest of the Goldfeathers, one lizard species lived in the dark caves that dot the western reaches of Autrus and was thus unaffected by Pardic's spell. The Large Cave Lizard (Cavernincola photophobus) was a medium-sized varanoid lizard that mainly ate mushrooms, carrion, and the small pterosaurs that tend to roost in the caves. When the Moon Cultists started using the caves as their base of operations, the Large Cave Lizards proved to be a valuable source of nourishment for their growing numbers. The Moon Cultists only took fifteen years to eat the Large Cave Lizards to extinction.

Slyci Arms Makee (Alvarezsaur at bottom center): The plains of Autrus and Ugal are dotted by the towering nests of various termite species. Until recently, these mounds didn't reach more than 5 feet (152 centimeters) in height. However, the termite nests now reach past 10 feet (more than 3 meters). This is due to the extinction of the termites' main predator: the Slyci Arms Makee (Sicarionyx noctis). These large, diurnal alvarezsaurs generally fed by leaping on top of mounds and digging down until they get to their termite prey. Unfortunately, the Goldfeathers had completely different beliefs about these creatures. The Slyci Arms Makee were believed to leap onto rooftops at night and stab the necks of those who are out past curfew. It wasn't long until Moon Cultist assassins took advantage of such superstitions by harvesting the Slyci Arms Makees' claws and using them as their weapons of choice. After the most recent crusade against wildlife twenty years ago, the Slyci Arms Makee is now extinct and the termite mounds are now growing from their absence.

Mort Tyrant (Dark tyrannosauroid at bottom center): Among the wild animals of Autrus, none were dreaded more than the Mort Tyrant (Morotyrannus pestis). In addition to being related to the True Tyrants, Mort Tyrants also carried many of the worst diseases that could infect Chromaraptors. Ironically, the Mort Tyrants were heavily persecuted and wiped out during the Nigrum Plague, a disease that they weren't even a vector for. The Nigrum Plague went on to wipe out 60% of the Goldfeather population by the time it ended 200 years ago.

Wild Plainstrider (Ornithomimid at bottom right): The Goldfeathers have had a long relationship with their mount of choice: the Plainstrider (Equusaurus caballus caballus). Due to their will to tame the wilds instead of living alongside it, the Goldfeathers were the first Chromaraptors to acquire mounts, allowing them to expand their hold on the plains in quick succession. However, while modern day domestic Plainstriders are large enough to carry a heavily armored Goldfeather paladin without problem and come in many different colors, their wild ancestors (Equusaurus caballus ferus) were smaller and had a beige coat of feathers. For centuries, competition with livestock and interbreeding with domestic populations led to the downfall of the Wild Plainstrider until the last wild individual, a stallion by the name of Bandit, died of old age fifty years ago after a lifetime of escaping Goldfeather persecution.

The idea for the Death Tyrant came from the discovery of the tyrannosauroid Moros intrepidus.
The name "Slyci Arms Makee" came from a Discord discussion when called it "Slicy Arms McGee".
The coloration of the Wild Plainstrider is based on that of the Przewalski's horse.
