Clinic entry for Mickey and Cas on Day Four of the tour.

Story: The day after the first class was significantly busier for Mickey. His father had been completely serious about Mickey learning as much as he could. Mickey had barely finished a pastry while browsing some of the clothes stands before being whisked away to Beginners Basics, then Cas was given a short break while Mickey learned to braid manes himself. Mickey had to say, he preferred the riding clinics. While trying to braid, his fingers felt clumsy and dropped the hair more often than not. After a quick lunch with his Dad and Richie, it was back on Cas for the Introduction to Jumping Clinic.

Mickey settled back on the the big horse's big back, and was once again very thankful for the steady horse. Cas was a model pupil for these clinics: they weren't having to train him or work through his anxieties. Nor was Mickey having to expend a lot of interest making him go: he did exactly what was asked without fuss. It really let Mickey focus on that his intructors were saying. Cas was also just as good as the instrctors: if Mickey cued him wrong or correctly, or did any particular thing, he responded as he was instructed. When Mickey lost his balance and landed funny off a jump, Cas swapped his leads and started to head in the opposite direction his instructor had said. But when Mickey was focused and accurate to the jumps, Cas hit the mark perfectly and flowed around the ring. Mickey made sure to pass on to Richie all the compliments Cas got, fully appreciating how lucky he was to have such a ride.
