History

Kithood :
Floodkit and her brother Flickerkit were born to the RiverClan warrior Sootflower during a terrible storm, surrounded by family. While her older siblings, Rabbitears and Softburrow, weren't present, Sootflower's mates Burrchaser and Shineheart were there to offer the medicine cat assistance and to offer Sootflower comfort while she fretted over her pain, her children, and the weather. Once both kits were proclaimed healthy and strong Sootflower finally relaxed, and named her kits after both the flooded banks of the river and the lightning arcing across the sky.

Floodkit's older sisters were a big influence on her character in her first moons, visiting when they had the free time and telling their younger siblings about life outside of camp. Floodkit and Flickerkit would parade around camp asking the other warriors for details. Where Floodkit was simply curious, Flickerkit would make mischief with the other kits by pretending to be all manner of territory invader and 'rampaging' around the camp, pulling his littermate into his games.

Apprenticeship:
Floodpaw spent much of her apprenticeship setting the rules aside and doing what interested her, though she followed instructions from warriors and her mentor while actively training. She had a penchant for sneaking out of camp without a warrior and exploring the territory, often traveling to the ShadowClan border to speak to her friend Mothpaw.
On one such excursion Floodpaw chased a squirrel over the WindClan border and killed it for prey, but she was caught by their leader Kestrelstar. Kestrelstar let her off with a warning, and Floodpaw was very effected by his kindness at her young age.
The apprentice Squirrelpaw was later torn apart and puppeted by a malicious entity haunting the territories.
When Tidestar blamed the apprentice's death on WindClan Floodpaw sought to speak out but was ignored. TideStar only became more erratic afterwards. He refused to listen to the warriors who'd witnessed the event, but Floodpaw--- who had, until this time, not believed in the spirits ---was swayed by their tale, and she was upset by Tidestar's unmoving stance against WindClan, who she believed to be good, upright cats. After Tidestar returned from a border skirmish during which former RiverClan warrior Sandrunner was killed and announced stricter rules against wandering the territory Floodpaw fled and hid beneath a fallen log. She spent two weeks living off of RiverClan's territory, only taking what she thought wouldn't be missed by hunters and barely sleeping to avoid meeting Squirrelpaw's fate.
After two weeks and riddled with exhaustion Floodpaw came to the WindClan border again and found the warrior Doesong unconscious and in need of assistance. She crossed the border again to help the sick warrior back to her camp, and once they arrived she sought Kestrelstar to ask if she might join his clan. She explained herself, and he offered her a place with them so long as she could tell Tidestar and RiverClan where she was going. She was reluctant, but agreed.
Following another gathering where RiverClan did not appear, Floodpaw went back to the RiverClan camp, but she was met by Spitfire rather than Tidestar. Spitfire accepted her admission, but after Floodpaw offered a remark over her shoulder to the nature of Tidestar's health and leadership Spitfire and another warrior chased her from the territory.

Warriorhood:
Floodpaw was named Floodstem a moon after she was admitted into WindClan.
