Name: Princess Asami
Race: Nourasian
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 102 lbs

Personality: At a glance, Asami is sweet, polite, and the most perfect lady one could ever hope to meet. But a glance just beneath the surface reveals a twisted, power-hungry sociopath. Her mind has long since ceased to function like a normal person's; her ideal of love has been warped and damaged beyond recognition or repair. As a child, Asami poured all of her love out to her parents, and though she was never purposefully neglected, she simply did not receive enough love in return to compensate for outpouring. Inevitably, she ran out of love--and became an emotional husk. Everything she does has an ulterior motive, even if it's just to feed a larger-scale motive. She's extremely judgmental about appearances, especially her own, and constantly wears a scarf over her shoulders to hide the ugly scar across her neck.

Backstory: Sixteen Earth years ago, Prince Aikka and Princess Asami shared a womb. Even before birth, they formed a bond--playing, fighting, learning. When they were born, Aikka came out first, Asami clinging tightly to his foot, as though trying to keep them both inside.

As future heir to the Nourasian throne, Aikka was, logically, always given more attention. King Elessar and Queen Delinea of Nourasia never meant to neglect Asami; it was simply the way things happened, in a logical sense, in the same way that Asami found herself longing for the attention she didn't get. First she tried to get attention by being the sweetest child one could ever dream of. When that failed, she began to deviate slightly from this ideal, her behavior escalating as she gradually ceased to care what kind of attention she received, as long as it was attention at all. Throughout it all, she still didn't believe she had been abandoned. In her mind, this was nothing but a stage; soon she, too, would be trained in the same ways Aikka would. It would be her turn in a few years. Then one day, she told her nursemaid that when she grew up, she was going to marry her brother, and they would rule Nourasia together. The nursemaid's response was no, Asami, it doesn't work that way.

It was then that it became clear to Asami that she and her brother would not always be equals; in fact, they hadn't been equals for quite some time. When their father died, and Aikka took the throne, she would be left behind. She would be alone.

From there, things went downhill. Asami became an absolute terror--defacing statues, attacking other children, jumping the servants in the corridors. Only one thing kept her from being sent away permanently: her brother, Prince Aikka. For the two were powerfully bonded, each feeding off the other's emotions. When Asami suffered, so did he; and his condition deteriorated as a result.

Then, one night, at the age of roughly thirteen Earth years, Asami crawled into her brother's bed, held him close, and lit the bed on fire. The prince was able to get them both out alive; when questioned later about her actions, Asami would merely state that she wished for her and her brother to be "together forever", in a place where they would always stand on equal ground.

Shortly after, the young princess cut her own throat. Aikka was the one to find her--and in those moments when his horrified gaze met her dull, half-alive one, something deep inside both of them died.

It was the last straw for King Elessar. Following her recovery, Asami was sent away from Daal, to live with her aunt Mydyn, Queen Delinea's sister, Duchess of the city of Am-Hen. Shortly after her arrival, Crog forces paid a visit to the city, seeking to force themselves upon the last of the five Crown Cities, the last step before one reached the Imperial City. And it was on that day that Asami, Princess of Nourasia, met General Kross of the Crog Imperium. The General was admittedly fascinated by this tiny thing, who still managed to hold such a reign of terror; in return, she was fascinated by the sheer strength of the Crogs, and their unending drive to overpower everything in their path. In Kross, Asami found an inspiration; and in Asami, Kross found his perfect little puppet.

So the two struck a deal: Asami would worm her way back into the court's good side, infiltrating the throne, and serving as an inside stronghold for when the Crogs attacked and overthrew Nourasia's remaining rule, once and for all. In return, she would become Nourasia's queen.

Obviously, Kross never had any intentions of sharing power with Asami--once the goal was accomplished, he would have no further need for her, and she would be cast aside, if not killed. But to an emotionally starved Asami, this was far from obvious. She swallowed his lies whole, without even pausing to consider the consequences on herself, both emotionally and physically.

Eventually, with good behavior, Asami was permitted to return to the royal palace of Daal, upon which she had, by all outward appearances, become the perfect lady. To her parents, her childhood violence had been a "phase", one which she had grown out of. Only one person saw through the act; only one person realized the extent of Asami's damage.

But to Prince Aikka, no one would listen, writing off his insistences as "sibling rivalry", and turning the other way. He was left alone to work against her plotting, and for this, an intense hatred was stoked between them. Where once the twins had been inseparable, now they cannot stand each other's presence. To Asami, Aikka is a threat, and an obsession. She hates him, yet, still adores him; desires him; desires to be him. And no matter how worn the edges have become, they are still two halves of the same whole.

There is a bond between them--and no blade can sever it.
