I wanted to draw a dragon based on the gorgeous fighting fish - how can something so colourful and delicate have such an ugly mug! I wanted to do a proud and slightly "different" dragon for this piece, which has also become a magazine submission.Related content

I was watching the Miss America costume contest the other night and one of the ladies dressed up as a fish similar to that style and I thought it looked simply awesome.

Woah, this piece is absolutly stunning. I love how the neck is curved, it gives him a proud look. And the colors in the sky, beautiful redish clouds

Very interesting, though it looks more aquatic than aerial. But like you said, it's based on a fish, so whocares. Nice work, love the frilly wings and the colors! ^_^
