Done with naught but just your garden variety mechanical pencil and kneaded eraser...I think I fell in love with my mechanical pencil again... (it's not paint, it agrees with me, and look at all the wonderful tones)...don't be surprised if I throw up a few more pencil sketches from now on...
I need a better scanner though....
.....
right now I'm staring at 16 color comps (late) that I have
to paint with acrylics...
At least three CG comissions...that I have yet to finish...
school finals to prep for...
and fanart as well as other picts I drew up.... Lucky me...
.....
ANYWAYS...
Tellemicus, here is just one idea for your Naruto, I'll probably throw up a few more later...
okokok, lemme explain...
two wakizashis are better than one katana...and if you lose one you can still use the other one. The sash doubles as a sheath holder (think economical and practical when you're designing ninja wear) and is orange.
Lost the orange t-shirt and game him an Under Armour Tank top (orange of course)
and you can add orange trim to the vest...I dunno if you wanted pockets of not.
And I gave him shin guards and arm/hand guards...I debated on that, but hey it adds a little extra when going for the hand to hand combat (both in defense and offense). Held in place by bandages.
If you don't like than I can throw up another with modifications and only bandages, or t-shirt, or whatever else.

A very nice picture indeed and I enjoyed the shading. He seems to be slightly off balance though...

Finally, here I am...
Anyway, this is awesome. I'm always in awe of people who can design such cool-looking outfits. And I like the way his youthful expression contrasts with the grown-up feel of the outfit.

Hey, I really like this one! I admit that I did have my heart set on the one katana, but you do prove a point with the wakizashi. To be honest, this picture has turned out much better than I originally imagined it as! I can't find any words to possibily describe how much in awe I'm in.
And you're right, the pencil really does suit you! I'll be waiting for any other ideas you post.
