This is the final version of the fanart. GT's face is bluei-ish because he's standing in the moonlight. Yeah, I'm too tired to draw the background

Why did I draw a sad GT in the first place? I thought of the end of The Mask Returns (the comic). Spoilers ahead?
The police officer wearing the Mask in this comic end ups beating his best friend, almost killing him with a bomb. Then he realizes what he's doing, leaves and buries the Mask in his basement.

In the text thing about my ideas about TLP's M&L The Mask (if it had continued) did talk about a scene where Luigi actually beats up Mario almost to death. I mean, did you see TLP's trailer or the intro of the series? GT's chasing Mario in it. Well I think Luigi could lose his sanity/rationality when beating Mario harder and harder, thinking for example how pleasuring it is to see the Super Mario reduced like that, by his own hands and in Toad Town, proving that Mario's not invincible at all, like many think. Then thinking that if Mario was injured enough, or even killed, then Luigi would take his place, for once under the spotlight, for once thanked and recognized by everyone, from Toads giving him the credits to Bowser remembering his name. Thinking that Mario was a fat, selfish, hypocrite brother anyway and that he deserved all this pain, and that Luigi deserved to be recognized. At the end, Mario would be "Luigi's obstacle to happiness" or anything you want. But at the moment he's going to give the final blow (or cut Mario in two with the axe), he gets a final vision of what's in front of him and BANG. The shock. He just sees a pitiful, bloody big brother (eventually crying) and his insides scream to stop and save him. What Luigi does. Then he flees to far hills and stares faraway, thinking of what he did, thinking that it was the ultimate proof that he must stop wearing the Mask. And of course, thinking how horrible he's become.
At that moment, Toadrick and Kylie finds him, stay pretty speechless and Luigi explains what he's got on his heart.

Here's a little dialogue I wrote:
Luigi: I almost killed my brother.
Toadrick : ... I knew this would occur someday...
Luigi : Do you realize what it means? (turns back to look at Toadrick) I hated my brother, but not at this point. (looks at his hands) I wasn't aware of this, but now... I realize I can't control myself anymore.
Toadrick : Luigi... Let's just go to bed. Drop that Mask. You must be exhausted.
Luigi (tearing up but wincing and/or smiling a bit) : I'm scared Toadrick.
Toadrick : ...
Luigi : If I stop wearing that Mask, I'll be back to being some loser, I'll lose all my powers. I'll be nothing! What if they find out I was Green Thunder? He's the person I so wanted to be, I don't want to end this...
Toadrick : ...
Luigi : But if I keep on wearing that Mask, who knows what will happen. Maybe I'll wake up with D-Daisy's b-blood on my heads, after... after... (voice cracks/weakens) after raping her...
Kylie : Luigi, please don't... (sighs)
Luigi : Dammit... Even with the Mask I can't hide my crybaby nature.
Kylie : No you're not a crybaby. You're just afraid, but we all know you wouldn't do such a thing. Let's go. It's late.
Luigi : I can't do this? Are you sure? Who would have thought I could send the Warios to the brink of death in the first place? Who would have thought Luigi himself would traumatize children, harass people for the fun of it, that Mario's own brother would want to kill him?! Tell me, haven't you ever been afraid of me?! Never?!
Toadrick and Kylie : ... ...
Luigi : ... Then how can you trust me, how can you say I can't do this? I can't even trust myself anymore...

Aaaahhhh... don't we love edgy things...
