This is the first time I ever attempted to draw a face. I only drew the left half of it because the right half was used as a guide. This is what got me hooked into drawing face close-ups.Related content

wooho deftones rock! you did a pretty good job sketching the other half of Chino's face. You also did good with the hair and his chops.
The nose is a little screwed up, but it looks like you were trying to conform more to the photograph than using your instincts to draw it. His eybrow also doesn' tmatch the one in the photograph.
Overall though, very neat, good shading, and an awesome character!
btw, my most recent deviation has a photograph i took of chino in it, take a look if you get the chance

not bad...the mouth area could be better..but it does look a lot like Chino.. i chino... goo shading...the left nostril is definitely a little messed up...

Dang, so the right side is a photo? Took me a while to figure that out, got the two sides mixed up 'cus they're so similar.. great work! Keep it up.. yo. :-D
