Description
At long last, I've decided to post my art idea which I'd been saving to post for a while: Gijinkas in REVERSE!One thing you see a lot around deviantart is pokemon gijinkas. Quite a fun thing to look at, though you usually get lots of part-animals. So, I thought it would be funny if instead of turning pokemon into humans, I could do it backwards, and turn humans into animal like creatures.
Before anything else, let me get a few things straight:
- My first drawings are based on Naruto characters instead of pokemon trainers because when I started drawing these, I thought I'd have to limit turning pokemon trainers into actual pokemon. I have as of late changed my mind about this but the first set of these will be Naruto characters. I'd also thought the gijinkas of pokemon seemed more like Naruto characters than pokemon trainers, as some carry weapons, which pokemon trainers don't. Since those people fight with themselves, I thought it would make more sense for them to become pokemon.
- Please don't complain to me about making someone look like the wrong animal. My knowledge on the Naruto franchise is minimal, so I base the Naruto based ones almost purely on the characters' physical appearance. If there is an animal which someone is associated with, and you'd expect them to be made into, I want to make it clear that I don't know a thing about it.
- Thirdly, please don't say which pokemon the character should be, because as you can see, I don't draw people as real pokemon.
Now, on to Naruto.
This was the first reversed gijinka - from now on dubbed "degijinkifications" - I drew. I was watching an episode of Naruto (even though I usually don't), and thought it would be cool to imagine the characters as pokemon-esque animals. Looking at Naruto, I thought it looked as if he had whiskers, so I figured he could be turned into some sort of cat.
And thus, this odd creature was born. He's my first, so he does look a little off in ways. The patterns on his fur look a little odd translated directly from his clothing, and the mane still looks like little more than a shock of hair. His face also looks pretty close to his human form, but oh well.
This drawing's unique in the fact that he's the only one in which I incorporated part of the character's plot into the animal, in that he has kitsune tails. To those who argue that the kitsune isn't the same character, I did only make it his tails, and not the whole animal, so be happy.
More of these to come, enjoy this one.
