Description

My updated commission sheet, now with up-to-date artwork!

Will/Won't Draw

Will draw: Humans and humanoid creatures, fantasy beasties, creatures in general! D&D characters! Nudity, tasteful or otherwise, is fine. I'm also happy to work outside my usual style within reason - if you'd like your picture to be more manga-style or cartoony or otherwise stylised, just let me know and I'll see what I can do!

I'm less experienced with drawing (but am happy to attempt): Buildings/architecture, robots, cars, very complex clothing, horses, muscles, extreme perspective, people kissing, extremely detailed backgrounds. I may have to add a complexity charge for these things if they're likely to add a lot more time to the artwork.

Won't draw: Extreme gore. (Candy/robo-guro is fine, though, and I'm not averse to scenes involving blood.) Certain kinks: No stuffing, inflation, etc. If you're not sure if I'll draw something, just ask.

(I take NSFW commissions, however you MUST be 18 or over to commission NSFW artwork.)

General/Commissioning Process

Please send any messages about commissions either by note on dA, or to socket-art@outlook.com.

If possible, please provide reference images for original characters.  If you don't have any reference, please send a thorough description!  Please give plenty of detail as to what you'd like me to draw.  The more, the better - it means I'm way more likely to get things right first time without needing more than one or two revisions, and that's better for both of us because it means I'm gonna get your commission finished faster and you don't have to worry about revision charges.

(Things to consider in your description: Character skin/eye/hair/etc colour, character pose, character expression, character clothing if applicable, details of setting/background if applicable.)

I really want to make sure any and all commissions are satisfactory.  After you send me your description, I'll send you back a rough sketch within a week, and you can let me know if there need to be any revisions to designs/poses/the picture in general before I continue.  I allow two free revisions to the sketch.  If more revisions are required (which is unlikely to be the case, as long as I've been given a thorough description of what you'd like me to draw), the third and any subsequent revisions will be $2 each, to be paid before I continue drawing.

(Things that don't count as revisions, and I won't charge for: Adding missed minor details to the sketch, anything that will only take a couple of minutes to alter.  Don't worry, I'm not going to charge you if I forget to add a character's whiskers or coat buttons in the sketch and you point it out.)

You'll be sent several watermarked progress pictures while I work on it, and within reason I am happy to edit the commission as I work on it if you see things that need tweaking!

Payment

I take payment via paypal invoice only - please provide me an email address to invoice you to.

I will only start working on lineart (or tidyup/sending a non-watermarked version, for those who commissioned a sketch) once payment is sent.

You can also request to send payment ahead of time, if you want to. I'll do my best to complete paid-for-up-front commissions as fast as I can!

If payment isn't receieved within a week of my sending the invoice, your commission will be placed on hold and I'll re-open your slot. (If your commission has been cancelled this way, message me when a slot is open, send payment, and I will finish your commission. I keep all sketches, so I'll always be able to pick up where I left off.)

Refunds

If I for any reason can't complete or I have to cancel your commission, I will refund you in full.

If you cancel your commission once I have started work on linearting or colouring it, I will refund you minus a fee to make up for the time I've spent on it so far.

Commissions are not refundable once completed!

Deadlines

You will never have to wait more than two months for a commission! I usually take around three weeks to complete a full-colour commission, but it really does depend on how easily it goes for me and how much detail is in it. I'll always keep you updated with my progress! If for any reason I'm unable to meet my two-month completion timeframe, I'll let you know ahead of time.

If you need your commission by a certain date, I must have at least three weeks' notice. I'm not great at rushing things out, nor do I want to - I want your commission to be the best it can be!

And The Rest...

I can turn down commissions.  It's unlikely, but if for any reason I cannot or will not draw something (whether that's because the subject matter is something I find particularly hard to draw and don't want to give a subpar picture, or it's something I'm uncomfortable with drawing, etc) I have the right to refuse.

Reposting, editing and otherwise putting up/mucking around with art commissioned from me is allowed ONLY with credit given to me as the artist.  Printing off commissioned pictures is fine.  You cannot remove signatures! Selling art commissioned from me in any form is not permitted.  Basically: no art theft.

Any commissioned art is likely to be posted here on dA and/or my Furaffinity, Tumblr, and Facebook page. If you would prefer for whatever reason that I do not reference/credit the commissioning of the image to you, let me know. If you would prefer I do not post your commission on my art sites, you can request that also!
