Description
A lonely and sad woman, who has all that she thinks that she'll ever want. Beauty, money and material desires, but without someone to love her, and giving love back in return, she is nothing but a beautifully decorated empty shell. An emotionless creature, for she does not know what it feels like to be truely happy.Yesterday I watched "The curse of the golden flower" and I love the costuming in that movie, it's just absolutly gorgeous. I know it's a chinese film, but for some reason I felt like drawing a japanese woman right after seeing it. Funny thing is it wasn't the first time I've seen that movie.
Add on: But anyway...This picture reminds me of the emperess. So beautiful on the outside, but so hollow and without love on the inside.
Edit: I made the picture a little darker than before. I think it looks a little better now...

Haha. Thank you. I know it's not always the case, but when I think of a japanese woman, or better yet, a geisha, I think of jet black, long and shimmering hair. I'm glad that I could pull of the look.

And I have to say I really enjoyed the fact that you had a story behind it,, she does look exactly as you said in the story. Beautiful, but without love, she has nothing .
