FORMULAS ARE EASY [those of you who need help with volume/SA/area in this case].
You must understand the concept! Understanding is key.
If you understand the area of the basic flat shapes like circles, rectangles, and triangle, the rest will be easy. Break it down by the "faces" of the 3D ones.
A circle's formula for Area is: Pi(radius squared).
A cylinder's formula for volume is: Pi(radius squared) times the height!
So, you figure out the Area of the Base of the 3D's figure you are working with, in this case a cylinder's would be a circle. Next, you multiply it with the height, meaning the height is how many times the base is stacked on top of itself again and again.
This works with everything you encounter in normal geometry from school. The only exception are spheres, but they're easy cake.
I'm basically explaining what the formula is saying. Don't just remember the formula, understand every concept in Geometry and you are good. By understanding, you have to know how to break it down and see what makes it up. Same goes with proofs ; A;

Midterm finals for GEOMETRY! 6/10 CH in one exam! Adv Honors Geo and I SUCK at math. A- but I need my 4.0 >_<
I hope he died a long painful death, stabbed by how many #'s of Pi found during his life time multiplied by the years he lived, with every (A)rea of his skin punctured by needles congruent/equal to the length of his longest strand of hair, and crushed by the many shapes of the 3rd Dimension polygons discovered during his time before being annihilated by the 1D's, 2D's, 3D's, and 4D's [and all the other D in existence!] collapse on him!!!
(And if he didn't; well darn, I hope all of this bad karma catches up to him in his future lives!)

I can help out -- be sure to read ahead tho. Work ahead as much as you can; work in class and hw will be less.
Also, take Alg. II over the summer and jump to pre-cal. Alg II is easy as hell.

If any of you plan on taking anything like architecture or engineering... or even in a lot of cases with art... also physics... learn to love this subject.
Not loving this subject and embracing this subject and getting a decent understanding of this subject lead to me being entirely incapable of taking physics in high school.
