Description
So, this one has a long story behind it. Alright, so my boyfriend's sister just had a baby, but there were a lot of problems with the baby (and I'm not going to go into detail). I wanted to do something nice to cheer up his sister and her husband, so I made them this to hang on the wall of the baby's room.

The rod is a pair of old, useless vibraphone mallets. I took a few needles and duct taped them around the center of the two mallets to keep them held together and sturdy. Then, I took a bunch of spare spools of thread and wrapped it around the rod (because it looked rather ugly without being covered).

Each letter in the name is made of fleece, blanket stitched, and filled with poly-fil. They hang from the rod with various strips of ribbon.

The mallet heads are facing outwards, and they also look ugly, so I covered them with little coverings I made out of fleece. On the left side is a duck, and on the right side is a turtle.

This project took a full 3 days straight to complete, and it was a lot of work, but it was worth it because I think his sister and brother in law really really liked it
