Given it's Rainbow, and she's not exactly the most detail-oriented pony, I would have expected a Rainbow-style mane (in pink) here too. Maybe even some yellow dye hoofprints/splashes. The tail, expression, and hints of color don't immediately make the joke jump out by themselves - it can be worked out, but the immediate impact is lost.
