Description
The "Father of Country Music", a blues guitar virtuoso and major influence on early Rock & Roll and Rockabilly with a brief recording carreer between 1927 and 1933, the same year in which he passed away from tuberculosis. He was known as "The Blue Yodeler" and "Singing Brakeman" because he had once worked for the railroads, but he had to quit that job because of his ill health. Despite his brief carreer, he did make 109 recordings.
