Description
The chimchar line is definitely an oddball out of the fire starter types. We had just come off Blaziken which was a very cool fire/fighting dual type, so why did Gamefreak decide to go with another fire/fighting starter (and then a 3rd time by gen 5)? Well, either way the chimchar line definitely held its own and I know a lot of people picked it as their starter for gen 4 since there weren't a whole lot of fire pokemon to be found in Diamond and Pearl.
