Description The B-24 was one of the most produced aircraft of the US Airforce during WWII. It wasn't all that reliable, but it was efficient and cheap enough to make that it was frequently used. This is a well-known photograph of B-24s on a bomb run to Ploesti in Romania in 1943.

(For clarification, I do not support bombing or violence, I just have an interest in history and airplanes. )

I got this picture from here, including lots of other amazing WWII photos: [link]

I want one with pontoon optional landing gear... How much you think that would set me back? lol I think the last I checked one was around a million us dollars that I looked at... And it didn't have any pontoon landing gear... However that might have been the used Blackhawk I am thinking about...

The Joisey Bounce! Contrary to what you stated, the B-24 Liberator was reliable enough and as far as cheap, $297,627 in WWII dollars was hardly chump change. The B-17 actually cost less to build than the Liberator costing $238,329 per aircraft, but the Liberator was a more modern aircraft with longer range and a bigger payload.

This aircraft was flown by Walter Stewart and renamed Utah Man. She was lost later in the war with a different crew on a mission to Breman.

For clarification, I do support the bombing of evil dictatorships like Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Without the bombing of Japan & Germany in WWII the world as we know it today would not exist.

Cool. Although, the United States Air Force wasn't established until 1947. During WWII it was the Air Corps
