i'm serious about this. i'm not bullshitting. this is a series i'm proud of, and something that i feel broke a new limit within me as an artist. please critise and review with this in mind - this isn't supposed to be pretty.
if i were you i'd wait till the i post the last one to comment on the series. just view and take it in for now.

I like the contrast between the vertical/horizontal lines here. The black and white is key as well since you concentrate more on the object and shadows than the color.

very good...the lines are the powerfull elements here. i like the way you rotated the 1st one so that you could have vertical and horizontal lines, also nice is the choice of the pictures:the 1st a little brighter cause of the color of the stone, with rude lines maybe reminding ancient times; and the 2nd one in a darker tone, with thinner lines and reflecting surfaces, something that i think is more about modern times.

so far my eye is drawn to this image rather than the other one. I think its the strong counterpoint that this one has via the vertical and horizontal lineage. As always the lighting is almost flawless and composition is great and the two images play well off each other.

i like it...i think the bottom makes your eyes follow you to the top and the top makes you eye follow all the way through.

I like the bottom portion a lot, but the top just doesn't seem to match. The lower sleek and bold, the bottom textured blandness.
