I'd agree with a low yield tactical device, but it either missed, or was not fused properly and detonated at the wrong altitude.

That's very game-ish. And very desolate and realistic 0.o

Not just S.T.A.L.K.E.R... Any good 1st person post-apocalyptic game either has or needs an atmosphere like this.
The most impressive detail is the protagonist's skin though, IMO. Don't get to see that often.

Hmm, I agree with you, but the first glimps instantly reminded me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, so aren't first impressions the most important?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

zJoriz In reply to MrScrub [2011-07-01 12:22:33 +0000 UTC]

If the first impression is most important to you, then it is most important to you... not much I can argue about, if you catch my drift

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was one of the first things that sprung to mind for me, too. However, I dismissed that shortly after, because in the game I never got myself to fantasize about true survival and identify with the protagonist like this piece does. Not sure why... maybe it's the skin thing.

Nostalgia, one of the first pictures I've seen in Deviant Art years ago. It still looks gorgeous with the dreary atmosphere.

Awesome work, very good detail.
Just have one question, if the guy is already infected by radiation then why is he trying to measure its leavels? Maybe protecting some other people that are coming behind? If so, is there another piece on this story?

It seems that he's trying to avoid the higher and more dangerous rad levels, though its just a guess.

If Mankind doesn't get more clever some Day, this Picture could become Reality.

In the Moment, it doesn't look like Humanity is getting more clever, but Hope die's at the very last and so let's not give up ;3

(Not that anyone would shed a single Tear for People who think that atomic Weapon's are more important that Infrastructure and medical improvement.)
