Now in high and mighty color (kinda)well fuck... this happened.
So to demonstrate the durability and overall strength of the one called Rico in this form he calls Despair, here is an image of him blocking/absorbing a blow from a 15'3 foot tall monstrosity known as Eva who Belongs to this heebee geebee shes kind of an alternate reality version of Eve but probably twice as strong. Gotta say this is probly the biggest woman i ever drew..ill try not to make a habit of it.
and i know what youre thinkin... "OMG HE IS SO OP RA RA RAH"
well yes he is pretty strong, but only in this form he has can he be, if he were in his normal state then i assure you he would not be taking her on like this. In the world he's from he has to deal with very strong people like this and like himself, so his strength is necessary. though if he can help it he will avoid a fight since he's mostly passive n stuff.

Eva here has some of the nicest anatomy I've seen in a while. You have a knack for adapting said anatomy into a natural-looking pose and having it look right.

...but nah, your bit about his world does make sense, and as a GIANT MONSTER advocate, I like it! Worlds with "everything in this world is completely badass" setups get real old real fast, but with Rico and gang it fits nicely. There's badass, but not so much that it's over-the-top and obnoxious. It's humorous, tongue-in-cheek almost. That's the difference.
(It's like, well, DBZ: it was overflowing with badass, but I think it also knew it was kinda silly. Ahaha)
Anyways, awesome picture! It's got a great form and musculature, and the pose and interaction is PERFECT. Interaction has always been your strongpoint, and it really shows here... so good. Goddamn. The colors's a great addition also, and thanks for tossing it on! The splash of color always brings life to a picture, and I wish you'd do that for often.

yeah the world he's from his power is indeed necessary. and i was indeed heavily influenced by DBZ growing up yes ^w^
and thanks size play is especially challenging given the interactivity has to be done a certain way or it wont work out, though its incomplete.
and i know i should color more stuff ive just been lazy XD
as for his tail. id say its got the strength of his arms combined, pretty strong.

AAH yeah I grew up on DBZ also. It and Cowboy Bebop were really the only animes I've ever liked haha.
But I think you did great with the size-differentiated interaction! If anything, it ENHANCED the picture-- you've got that sense of motion, with this HUGE, HULKING THING coming down on little Rico. That's good composition, right there! But damn, his tail sure does sound tough. I'd love to see him do some neat stuff with his tail... grabbing people and chucking 'em, ripping guts, making a sandwich. Aaah, hand-tails. :D

the point is that his tail is a part of him just as his arms and legs are and that part of him, and he uses those to fight and defend with. as per what his tail hand is used for, be creative. if you had one what would you do Β with it?
