Description As I previously said, in Iceland waterfalls are common as clood in the sky...this one is a beautiful big one.

We spent 3 weeks in Iceland, in May and June 2014...I dream to go in September to help gathering sheeps !!! I see that you can help in Blonduos village !!!
It's hard to choose going back to places you loved and new places to discover...    (I'm quite very very very lucky if it's my only problem in life )

Three weeks is what I am planning. I am going to go round the whole island including the Western fjords
Maybe I will be able to help with the sheep
I like going to new places but Iceland is incredible and I have hardly been there at all before. Four days was not very long.

3 weeks are what you need to go round, we went round all Iceland in 2014. Rent à 4WD car, it's necessary !!
And if you want to see puffins very closely, try the last eastern fjord

Are you sure that Western fjords are still reachable in september ? I don't know when snowfalls arrive but maybe it's sooner in these parts of Iceland ? We didn't had time to go in this part cause it's far, one whole week for this part is the best There are few tourists there, I guess it's why you choose it

I rented a 4WD when I went
It's what I drive all the time anyway
I think September will be ok. There might be some early snow but I am hoping
I can get all the way round in September. I know they close a lot of roads after August but I still have time to make my plans
Thank you for the puffins tip.
I saw many puffins in the South of Iceland but they were too far away to photograph well.
Yes, I did choose it because it will be very quiet and deserted there

In Vik, Puffins were too far for me too, even with 400 mm lens I was quite dreaming in Bakkagerthi when I saw them from 2m

Maybe to be sure, you can start by Western fjords and then, make your turn in all the rest od Iceland In may, all roads were closed

I was pretty sure you were looking for quietness I'm eager to see your pictures

Oh, thank you for the link! Now I see - "The waterfall drops 60 m", so my estimate was not so bad Yay!
