Description Zygaena trifolii, Vallon Sourn, France

I don't know what happens to the tongue of this poor dude...maybe it foraged on a dangerous flower, maybe it's parasites ??? It seems bothered by these "things" that impedes it trunk to go back in position...

Imagine if it could talk with that

EDIT : I just watched a documentary about Orchids, and now I know what are the "things" on his tongue ! it's pollinium (c'est très proche en Français, puisque ce sont des pollinies) !! Here the description from Wikipedia : A pollinium is a waxy mass of pollen grains held together by the glue-like alkaloid viscin , containing both cellulosic strands and mucopolysaccharides. Each pollinium is connected to a filament which can take the form of a caudicle , as in Dactylorhiza or Habenaria , or a stipe , as in Vanda. Caudicles or stipes hold the pollinia to the viscidium, a sticky pad which sticks the pollinia to the body of pollinators .

...Glue-like...I think I take a good demonstration picture !
