Description This probably should have gone into scraps, but I like the sketchiness and lines from the brush pen so I doubt I'll do anymore with it . . .

I read Chapter 330 last night, then got up this morning and felt like doing a quick drawing rather than work on my other stuff. I must have been inspired because it only took one try from memory, and brush pens are not that forgiving if you make mistakes! I'm very sad still about all that's happened in Naruto lately (if you read the manga), so I haven't been able to do my tribute . . . I guess this could count as a mini one . . . And, well, if I decide I like the composition enough, I'll do it in color with the sun at their backs . . .

I was so heartbroken when he died! ;-; I kinda sat there in shock.
Love the picture though. "Next time, Asuma-sensei..." Augh, that just really got me.

I'm so sorry, but I was heartbroken too when it happened. All the flashbacks of things we didn't get to see in the manga . . . that really did it for me. I just had to make something for it.

But . . . don't print it out just yet! I think I'm ready to clean it up and maybe color it too! We'll see, we'll see, but I'm so glad you loved it! And thanks for the fave too!

I have loved these two since . . . well, waaay before the time skip. I just love snarky smart guys and laidback chain smokers . . . A good chunk of my fanart is devoted to the guys of the Niju Shotai! Yeah, I loved Kotetsu and Izumo waaay before the current events too . . .

Wah, 8701!!! To be honest, I'm kind of shy about showing up there again because I got all weird and went underground for 9 months. It's just . . . I get all down on myself and my art and then I can't look at it or read about it or anything. Yeah, I know I'm a total freak . . . And yes, Asuma and Shikamaru had a nice bond together. :sigh: I'm glad it wasn't the kind that would employ... fangirlism to it *looks warily at Abhorsen*. IMO, Naruto is better than Bleach at the moment, so it's kinda cool that these two fluctuates. So, how has your life been? Still using Prismacolors? Goodness knows I need to bring mine out.

My life has been all shades of gray. And I've been such a miser with my Prismacolors! I take them out, use them just a little bit, then pack them away again! I also have a set of 12 Copics that I use very sparingly . . . And yes, you need to whip them out . . . er, the Prismacolors, that is . . .

Busy with work, travel, family and feeling generally down about my art in general . . . But I'm getting over it. I have to get over it because I just love drawing so much! I may never end up making a living off of it, but getting people to laugh is pretty much just as good!
