Description
Perhaps my favorite character from Knights of Sidonia by Tsutomu Nihei, it's Placental Hoshijiro ! Her character design is really fantastic, she's always a pleasure to look at (and a challenge to draw!).

The main differences from the source material are her hands, torso, and maybe feet. For her hands I drew inspiration from Pyrrha Omega in Soulcalibur V and thus made them bigger, harder, and pointy, so as to give them a more menacing look. The feet got similar treatment. The torso I just angled more towards the viewer and separated into two discernible materials.
The folds in her dress and sleeve are the parts I'm most proud of; I have never drawn wrinkles or folds in clothing even half as good as these are. I spent a lot of effort drawing them, and it definitely marks a substantial improvement in my drawing ability.
