Hey peeps. This is one of my entries for the Fakemon Masters First Generation Wave Contest. I chose to do an evolution for Golduck, Persian, and Electrode. And as you can tell, this one's for Electrode.....just kidding. This is Golduck's new evolution, Rivaduck. He's based on a Kappa, a river monster from Japanese folklore. You get this lovely Pokémon by levelling up Golduck in Blackgem Swamp, a made up location, while it is holding the Water Pail, a made up item. I tried to think of a secondary type that I could incorporate that would be unique, but all the ones I thought of had been done before. I thought maybe Water/Psychic, but that's been WAY overdone and then I thought Water/Ghost but that's also been done and it didn't seem to fit. Water/Dark would've fit, but that's also been done. So, I just decided to leave him as a pure Water type. It seems to me that there aren't enough wild three-stage evolutions chains that remain one type throughout, ya know. Anyway:

RIVADUCK (RIVA (as in river) + DUCK): Water; The Water Demon Pokémon

Rivaduck are mischievous creatures who are constantly pestering human beings. Their heads have a concave structure so that they may carry water with them onto dry land. This is crucial as the water allows them to keep their skin moist, for if it dries, they will only be able to move sluggishly on land and be much more susceptible to injury.
