i am cringe,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, anyway

i saw that making sonic exe ocs is a thing now and they've kinda evolved into just "spooky version of sonic character", sometimes based on actual glitches, and i was like. why is no one doing a blue knuckles. why do i not see any blue knuckles anywhere. that seems so obvious.

so i did it myself

so this is STKX, like the image states it is pronounced like "Stucks". They are an accidental creation of haphazardly mashed fragments of sonic, tails and knuckles, brought into existence when the game tried to spawn in a fourth character. the original glitch is treated like sonic, referred to as tails and plays like knuckles, so i decided to interpret that as some sort of split of mind/body/soul, with tails being the mind, giving STKX tails' personality and intellect, sonic being the soul, giving STKX sonic's desires and goals and dreams (and colour palette), and obv knuckles as the body, giving them all of knuckles' abilities. and backwards feet, for.. reasons.

the original glitch cannot beat certain sections without the help of debug mode, so STKX was left there to rot in the fiery part of angel island act 1. they cannot reach sonic's path with their knuckles body, and they cannot take knuckles' path as the game kills them if they try. they were stuck there. (that's why the tips of the spines are flat btw, its a reference to what happens to real echidnas in bushfires, if they don't dig down far enough their spines get burnt flat)

haven't figured out the "story" beyond that but somehow they get out eventually and go on to achieve a super form that is really stuffed bc, again, the original glitch has a screwed up super form too.

they can't talk bc their mouth (usually) is a tiny almost invisible slit, they've got a long echidna-accurate tongue tho. they use their tongue like a third limb, and in their super form it's a straight up harpoon lol. they started out as an almost passably normal person with a childlike innocence and high intelligence, a good, heroic, carefree nature, and the strength to back it all up but in their years of isolation they went a little loopy. escape was the only thing on their mind for a long, long time. they longed for freedom and adventure, and their brain became solely focused on coming up with plans for escape that all fell flat. when they eventually leave, they dont tend to be aggressive upfront but if anyone tries to get them to do anything they don't want to they will freak out and probably resort to murder real quick. they do what they want, and anything in the way of that is a meaningless obstacle to be methodically deconstructed.

if i keep iterating on this guy there'll probably be some design changes, especially w the super form's mouth area bc its kinda generic and clashes with everything else. maybe a freaky circular worm mouth lined with teeth or smth.. hmm. something to try out
