this is a mask i made for my make-up SFX exam this winter...
I used about 2-3 houers to apply it... I also made some parts of the costume... Ill get a better picture soon...

SFX, make-up and hair FX got to do the makeup for a opening show to the premiere of LOTR return of the king, december 15 2003... my teacher got to play gandalf by the way... we made ears wiggs orc mascs ( of foam latex ) and all sorts of lotr stuff...

It was lots of fun.
We started at 06:00 in the morning and were finished about 12:00 at night...

Before our show Vigo Mortensen , Andy Serkins ( Gollum ) and Bernard Hill showed up...
