I wouldn't say this is "basic", rather a great photograph. I love the stark contrast of the silhouette with the lovely tonal variations of the bright light hitting the smoke. Live music concerts are awesome to go to, and this gives a taste of the atmosphere there.

The Silouette is what makes it for me... just checked out the line up and it looks like a pretty fun festival.

A friend of mine is a huge Overkill fan, so I've heard a lot about the band although that's not really the type of music I prefer to listen to. However it all doesn't relate to the photo which looks great. It seems like the stage is burning behind him, that it is not really smoke but an explosion. Gives a certain feel to what they are playing, the image correlates with the music.

I love silhouettes, and this one is great - not only the vivid background colours that make the sillhouette stand out even more, but also the detail of Derek's foot in the air, meaning he was moving
