laugh to watch you act so
tough and cocky and arrogant
(and know so much more)

sad to know so many sides of you
that others don't
sad to remember tiny things
that suddenly mean so much
sad to know you don't think of me
like that anymore
but to know that i don't really mind
(anymore).

i'm happy with where i am
i'd be happy to have you back
and happy to never see you again.

i'm not letting myself feel anything
anymore.

that way i can't be let down
and that way i can keep on smiling
for real this time.
