Second try at a panorama. Still without a tripod, so I had to crop a little more than I would have liked off of the right side. Still, I'm pretty happy with the results.

It's too bad I didn't have someone standing at there for scale. The plaque near the bottom is about ten feet up the trunk. It's a massive tree.

I don't know what the story behind this tree is, but it seems to have survived a fire. The plaque was dedicated to the memory of someone. (I can't remember who and it's too small to make out in the photo.)
