I know this is a screen shot, but I wanted to share it because so far this is my favorite moment in the the series.

I never watched Star Trek growing up, I always thought of it as some sort of boring space show, and the idea of it never interested me. But recently my husband has been watching TNG by himself, and after glancing at a few episodes I realized it could be interesting after all. Now I'm hooked, we watch at least 2 episodes together each night when we eat dinner, and we're about 3 quarters of the way though season 3 (he started from the beginning for my benefit).

This image is from the second episode we watched tonight, called Tin Man, and it taken from the end of the episode when Data realizes that he truly belongs on the Enterprise.

Data is my favorite character. I'm convinced that he is more connected to humanity than he realizes. He is almost constantly stating that he cannot feel emotions. I personally disagree. I think he feels them, just differently. And because he does not understand them, he does not realize that that is what he's experiencing.
In this scene, I get the feeling that Dianna feels the same way.
That's my opinion anyway. I plan to elaborate on why some time in the future.
