I'm working on an animation of Sam doin' a little dance.This is the rough sketch animation, just showing the movements and hardly any detail at all. Just the most important things.
I tried to make this animate in time with LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" and "Champagne Showers", and Maroon Five's "Moves Like Jagger" (songs which I had on repeat all the time while animating this
), but I'm not sure if it's a 100 percent right.. It might be laggin' a bit..I hope it looks ok, even though it's just a sketch.

curious animator's question: how many frames did this take, or rather, how many layers did you create?(i ask because in the past I haven't been able to make a fluid animation and this one is more fluid than any of mine previously made)

I started out with 10 frames, then added loads of inbetween-frames (or whatever they're called
With the coloring done, I'm guessing I'll be close to 200 layers. For each frame, I use one or more layers for the sketch, then one for the lineart, then one to three layers for the colors.

.............*gawk*......w-what?.....I-never mind than, it looks like I won't be able to do one then.....wow, 200, that is.......a great animation but holy cow my computer can't take that kind of power.....your awesome anyhow so thank you VERY much for answering in such a detailed way...it helps us beginners get a grip on what we're looking at. by any chance could you recommend a good way to start animation, per say tip on where to start perhaps so i don't get bogged down with irritation so much?????(cause lets face it, that one animation proved you seriously know more than me on the terms of animation in 2-d.)
