(Water)Despite its appearance, Snaphy aren’t really made of wood. They instead mimic the material in order to lure unsuspecting Pokémon looking for a spot to rest, then quickly clamp them in their jaws and eat them. Their bodies are naturally buoyant and well adapted for water, but as babies they’re very poor swimmers. To hide from getting eaten themselves, they learn how to hide in plain sight at birth.
