Very interesting carnivorous tree concepts. The top one likely has the trails similar to a jellyfish, so any creature coming nearby that has bare skin brush the fronds will be knocked out. The tree can then either digest the critter itself, or nearby smaller predators can eat it faster, their poop helping to fertilize the soil.
The fringes coming up from the roots could provide a local photosynthetic boost, plus allowing the wind through means the tree can get a rough sniff of ground air to sense herbivore threats.
The snap--cluster tree at the bottom looks like it is set up to lure critters to the center, put them to sleep, and close over them to digest.
