honestly i really like that the focus is on the hair. it's different. and her eye stood out to me anyway just because it's so blue, so to me that means it doesn't necessarily have to be in focus.
i also really like the person in the background and the colors.

amazing feel to this. great DOF. the photo has a lot of softness which i like because digital is just too harsh and sharp nowadays. i love her pose, it has a very natural feel to it. and i also like how there's a mysterious figure in the background. it makes this photo less typical.

Yes, in this particular case. But also usually in general when I come to think of it. It gives a bit of grip, this makes it hard for me to focus on something because her eyes draw the attention because of the colour, but I can't focus on it because it isn't focused. Catch my drift?
